This exiting series is based on a 12-year-old girl named Aru Shah who lives in the Museum of Ancient Indian Arts and Culture, since her mom is an archeologist. Aru lies about her autumn break that she is going to a vacation, but in real she sits at home in her Spider-Man pajamas. When 3 of her classmates come to the Museum to catch her lie, she shows them around at tells them about the Lamp of Bharta that is cursed and they think she is lying again, so they dare her to prove her point, - without knowing the consequences- she lights the lamp, not knowing that this little quick light of a lamp, will change her life forever. This series goes on with linking to the Hindu epic poem, called the Mahabharata and Aru finds out she is actually a reincarnated version of one of the Pandava brothers - protagonists of the epic poem. This series is just awesome! Honestly, after I read the 1st book I felt like this series is mid, but after the 2nd and 3rd book I started loving the series so much, because everything started linking together! For all the Percy Jackson fans out there - like me - this series is similar to that with a plot base of Hindu Mythology, in fact it is presented by Rick Riordan and I can bet that all Percy Jackson fans will love this too! They also mix in pop-culture in the books to stuff we can relate to like quotes or references from different famous books and movies, which makes it so hilarious and fun! I give this series a 4.5/5 because some parts were just a tiny bit confusing but, it is still an awesome series! recommend this book to whoever is interested and whoever enjoys reading fantasy books! Hope you enjoy this series as much as I did!
