Wings of Fire: The First Arc (Books 1-5) By : Tui T. Sutherland

Do you love dragons? Enjoy fantasy? Have heard of the series Wings of Fire, but don't know if it is good? Then come on in and have a look if you want to read it or not!

This amazing 15 book series - Wings of Fire - is split into 3 different series which each has 5 different main characters and a different prophecy and each series is called an arc! So this is the review of the first arc, which are books 1-5 centered around 5 dragons that are 5 Dragons of Destiny that will end the wars between the dragon tribes and the prophecy is called The Dragonet Prophecy.

The main character of the first book is Clay which is a MudWing dragon and is very protective and cares a lot about his other 4 dragon friends. The other 4 Dragons of Destiny and Clay’s friends are Sunny - the SandWing and also the cute and kind one, Starflight - the NightWing and also the scared and brainy one, Tsunami - the SeaWing and also the bossy and fierce one and Glory - the RainWing and the pretty and aggressive one. They live in a mountain cave with the Talons of Peace - a secret society that wants to end the war - as they are safe, but the cave seems more like a prison to them then a safe house, so they choose freedom over destiny and they escape and the story goes on with them going along different places choosing which queen is best and who should rule.

This exiting series is pretty engaging, fast pace, mind-blowing and adventurous. Two things I really enjoyed about this arc was that first, we could plainly see the characters grow throughout each book like from fearful to fearless and from bossy to understanding and saw how our characters were becoming better versions of themselves, secondly I loved how neatly the plots weaved together along with the prophecy!

I would give the first arc a 4 out of 5 because the first 2 books are a little violent and slow in a few parts but, the other 3 books build up the story and are very awesome! I would recommend this book to people who enjoy fantasy and are older than 10 because it is a little violent, but still a pretty good arc. If you don’t like to read long books or you are younger than 10, then there is a graphic novel version of it too! Hope you enjoy this arc as much as I did!
